Plaited Basket Kits
Many Native American tribes use plaiting for the construction of their baskets. Plaiting is most prominent in the basketry of tribes in the Northeast and Southeast of North America. However, plaiting is also a great part of the basketry tradition of Native Americans in the Southwest, the Great Basin, the Plains and the Northwest. Learn checker plaiting and twill plaiting.
There are two kits available, containing fiber splint, fiber rush, clothespins, One kit makes two baskets, another kit makes one basket. A 12-page full color instructional booklet is included. You will need: scissors and a ruler.
