Hornfels
Hornfels is a fine-grained metamorphic rock that can range from dark to light in
color. The original rock type was typically sandstone, clay or shale,
limestone or diabase. This natural rock comes in a cotton specimen collection bag with an information card including
details on the rock formation, characteristics and uses. Specimen size ranges from 1-2 inches.
